Rattan furniture maintenance is very simple, especially synthetic rattan.Dust them regularly with a vacuum cleaner or a dry cloth.
For natural rattan furniture, we recommend that you clean it every three months with hot water with a little detergent with soda crystals adding a few drops of ammonia. After rinsing and drying, the rattan furniture will be nourished with linseed oil and finally polished with a soft cloth.
To nourish and clean rattan sofas and chairs at the same time, you can rub them with an oil emulsion (half a glass of flax oil for every liter of hot water with a tablespoon of turpentine essence), and then rinse them with water cold.
Slightly humidified and nourished, the plant fibers that make up rattan will retain all their flexibility and appearance, and you will no longer notice the small creaks that can occur when the fibers dry.
Insensitive to most stains, synthetic plastic rattan furniture requires only minimal maintenance. They are not affected by dust, stains or summer sun oils: just wipe them with a sponge with a non-abrasive detergent to remove them, you can also just wash with water.
These little tips will allow you to keep your furniture beautiful and in perfect condition for a long time.
